Bevan completed undergraduate medical training at the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Human Biology (BHB) in 2003 and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) in 2006. Post-graduate years as a junior doctor were undertaken in Hawke's Bay, Auckland, Rotorua, New Plymouth and Palmerston North. Specialist General Surgical training was completed over that time with admission as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. Post-fellowship training undertaken in 2016 at the Royal Darwin Hospital in Rural and Trauma Surgery. Accreditation as a certified Endoscopist was aquired in 2015 for both Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy by the New Zealand Conjoint Committee.
About Bevan Jenkins
Born and raised in Auckland, Bevan has worked in Hawke's Bay Hospital for two rotations during his junior doctor years. He settled here permanently in early 2017 as a Consultant General Surgeon with operating privileges at both Royston and Hawke's Bay Hospitals and is happily married to a local GP.
