During your stayAncillary servicesComprehensive ancillary services are available within the Royston Centre.Radiology services are provided by Hawke’s Bay Radiology and Physiotherapy services are provided by Focus Health. Cardiologist Dr Richard Luke has his private practice in the Centre also. CommunicationsFamily and friends can phone you by dialing (06) 873 1111 Extn: 0. Our receptionist will transfer calls directly to your room.Patients and visitors are asked to check with nursing staff regarding the use of cell phones within the hospital as these can interfere with calibrated medical equipment. Fax facilities are available at reception and if you have chosen a suite, a broadband internet connection is available as a free service. Cultural needsPlease let us know if you have any spiritual or cultural needs. If the services of an interpreter are required, please let us know well in advance of your admission to ensure that this is arranged. There is a cost for this service.MealsInpatients: Meal times are: Breakfast – 8:00am, Lunch - 12 noon, Dinner – 5:30pm.In addition, you will be offered morning and afternoon tea and supper. Our menu endeavours to cater for a variety of tastes and dietary needs. However, if nothing appeals, please ask for an alternative. If you have any particular dietary needs please discuss these with your nurse. Our food services staff will endeavour to ensure that any special requests are met. Visitors: Reasonably priced meals can be ordered from the receptionist and a complimentary tea and coffee facility is available in the reception foyer.Parent or CaregiverArrangements may be made for a parent or caregiver of a patient who requires additional non-medical care, to be accommodated at the hospital. Please discuss your requirements with the Theatre Bookings Co-ordinator or Ward Team Leader prior to admission. Charges may apply.PhysiotherapyYour specialist and nursing staff will discuss with you the need for any physiotherapy. While you are free to make arrangements with any physiotherapist of your choice, Royston Hospital does receive an excellent service from the on-site physiotherapists at Focus Health. Located in the Royston Centre, Focus Health is well placed to meet your needs while you are in hospital and will be happy to continue to provide service after your discharge.Your FeedbackRoyston Hospital welcomes all feedback as a means of identifying areas where we can improve and confirming where we are doing well. We would appreciate you completing a patient questionnaire form which can be left at the hospital reception, posted back to us or alternatively you may prefer to do this online by clicking on the link provided.After careMobility EquipmentRoyston Hospital has a variety of mobility equipment for hire or purchase. If you wish to hire any of these items, a refundable deposit and weekly fee will apply. This deposit will be required prior to your discharge.Occupational TherapyWe can arrange for an occupational therapist to visit you at home to assist with your rehabilitation.
